Wax featuring Tiger Woods: “I Was Unfaithful”

We went out to the local golf course and shot this video. My roommate Andrea Procopio was nice enough to play the Caddy chick and my main man Morgan Jenkins manned the camera. Hope yall enjoy this shit!

Wax and Ajax show pics by Hugo Garcia

A couple nights ago we had yet another installment of the Wax and Ajax show at the M Bar in Hollywood. I swear these shows get better and better every time. This past one was off the god damn hook!!

The picture above was taken by my boy Hugo Garcia. For a while now I have been seeing Hugo at just about all of my LA area shows taking pictures. Each time I see him he hands me a CD of photos from the last show he attended. He is a talented photographer and an all around good dude. In fact I am a slacker for not stepping my game up and making better use of his work. That is gonna change though I’M TRYIN TO STEP MY GAME UP NAHMEAN. Peep this pic Hugo took of the Wax and Ajax Dancers at our January show. That’s right, we have dancers and they are freaking awesome.

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!!!

I wrote a poem for my special someone on Valentine’s Day.

TITTIES!!!

Some of you may remember this video from awhile back. I can’t remember how long ago I posted it on youtube or how long ago youtube removed it, but it was up there for a little while. It’s basically an ode to Titties. I understand that it could be considered immature or childish but that’s kinda the point….. the sight of a titty makes a man that way. Anywho, I hope you guys enjoy it.

Wax and EOM “This Week in America” Outtakes

So I went over to my boy Casey Chan’s house the other day and we went through some footage of when we shot our video for “Relax” (Casey directed the video). There was one night where me and EOM dressed up as newscasters on a fake show called “This Week in America”. We put together some outtakes from all the footage. I think EOM is funny as hell in this. Hope yall enjoy this atleast a little bit, it’s hard for me to tell if it’s some “i guess you had to be there” shit or not.

email i got….

The following is an email somebody randomly forwarded to me. I usually don’t even read these things but I thought this shit was cool.

A boat docked in a tiny Mexican village. An American tourist complimented the Mexican fisherman on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took him to catch them.

“Not very long,” answered the Mexican.

“But then, why didn’t you stay out longer and catch more?” asked the American.

The Mexican explained that his small catch was sufficient to meet his needs and those of his family.

The American asked, “But what do you do with the rest of your time?”

“I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, and take a siesta with my wife. In the evenings, I go into the village to see my friends, have a few drinks, play the guitar, and sing a few songs. I have a full life.”

The American interrupted, “I have an MBA from Harvard and I can help you! You should start by fishing longer every day. You can then sell the extra fish you catch. With the extra revenue, you can buy a bigger boat.”

“And after that?” asked the Mexican.

“With the extra money the larger boat will bring, you can buy a second one and a third one and so on until you have an entire fleet of trawlers. Instead of selling your fish to a middle man, you can then negotiate directly with the processing plants and maybe even open your own plant. You can then leave this little village and move to Mexico City, Los Angeles, or even New York City! From there you can direct your huge new enterprise.”

“How long would that take?” asked the Mexican.

“Twenty, perhaps twenty-five years,” replied the American.

“And after that?”

“Afterwards? Well my friend, that’s when it gets really interesting,” answered the American, laughing. “When your business gets really big, you can start buying and selling stocks and make millions!”

“Millions? Really? And after that?” asked the Mexican.

“After that you’ll be able to retire, live in a tiny village near the coast, sleep late, play with your children, catch a few fish, take a siesta with your wife and spend your evenings drinking and enjoying your friends.”

And the moral of this story is: ……… Know where you’re going in life… you may already be there.

Do you think it would be OK?

This is my new video I just uploaded last night. I just woke up one day and started doing this shit. Music is weird man the more you try to make it “your job” the more you realize that it doesn’t work like that. Once you start putting “to do lists” together that throw songwriting in with business-esque tasks the harder it is to do those songs. I’ve been trying to force a lot of stuff recently, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. The Esmee Denters remix for example was a to do list item that worked, and the stuff I tried to do this past Monday night was an EPIC FAIL and resulted in me being pissed off that I essentially wasted a bunch of time. Usually the good shit just comes from out of nowhere. I guess that’s God or whatever you wanna call it.

Anywho, I really like this one a lot. It makes me happy. I hope yall like it too.

Esmee Denters “Admit It” (Wax and Herbal T Remix)

So for those of you that don’t know, I now have a manager that has been working in the music industry for several years now. His name is Sam Shulman and he’s a good ass dude. He’s originally from Detroit and he came out to LA to pursue a career in the music business. He started as an intern at Interscope Records and worked his way up for four years to get a position in the A&R department. He didn’t get the job from his dad/uncle/etc. like most of the people in the music industry. Regardless, he’s about to get laid off so all that shit is neither here nor there..

Anyway, Sam was able to get some Wax and Herbal T Youtube videos in front of Ken Komisar, president of Tennman Records, a label owned by Mouseketeer-turned-Megastar Justin Timberlake. We ended up meeting him at his office and exchanging some words. He didn’t give us 8 million dollars and some “get your dick sucked for free” cards like we were hoping for, but he did give us the pro tools session files for “Admit It”, the latest single from their biggest artist Esmee Denters.

Me and herbs love doing this kind of shit!
